Enjoy a Dingle Peninsula Walks or Hike

No other area in Ireland offers the variety and quality of walking trails and routes as the Dingle Peninsula on Ireland's mountainous south west coast. The Dingle Peninsula is paradise for walkers. Most of the routes in the region are on small, quiet roads and trails, far away from traffic. You can walk for hours along these lanes and roads, in peace and quiet. There are routes that will take you up and down mountains and hills, along beaches and strands, and across seaside cliffs. All walks in the area will give you the time and peace to enjoy the awesome beauty of the area.

One of Ireland's most renowned walks is The Dingle Way, a 112-mile trail that winds up and down the peninsula via beaches, cliffs, and hedged livestock paths. Like all recognised and plotted walks, The Dingle Way is well signposted. The Way starts at Blennerville, just outside Tralee, and passes near the villages of Camp, Annascaul and Dingle, before the final stretch from Dingle to Slea Head.

The Pilgrims Route covers some 48 km (30 miles) and connects many of the early Christian sites for which the Dingle Peninsula is renowned. It begins in Dingle, turns south in Ventry, then north to Riasc, wandering over to Kilmalkedar Church along the older Saints Road, and then by green track and minor road to Cloghane.
